Our feature products are a range of traditional Spanish terracotta tableware handcrafted by an artisan from the small town of Gaudix in the Granada province in Andalucia. Each one is handmade with no two pieces the same. These rustic yet beautiful examples of authentic Spanish wares with their rich terracotta color perfectly enhances the ripe reds and saffron yellows of typical Spanish fare.
Everyone loves Tapas! For many of us they typify the very essence of life in Spain. At Artesano, we have a large selection terracotta Cazuelas which are traditionally used for cooking and serving a tapa. Cazuelas are found in all Spanish kitchens. Cazuelas are extremely versatile and are used in many types of Spanish cooking. They are the product of a unique refractory clay method used since antiquity that produces a dish that is close to a brick in density making them exceptionally sturdy. They are safe to use in the oven, on the stovetop and on the BBQ. Our smaller sized Cazuelas, are traditionally what you would get Tapas served in when you go to a Tapas Bar in Spain.
